Collection: Spring Shipping 2027 Future Unicorns Collection

This is the Future Unicorns Collection! The new Collection is coming August 1st 2026! And there are going to be some heart wrenchingly beautiful varieties this year! Other varieties will be added over the fall as well.

In order to get new varieties in from Europe, we have to order Dutch tubers. I only order wholesale varieties that I have deemed worth the risk of being wrong or having gall. Some of the most spectacular varieties we have, were Dutch to begin with.

Dutch tubers will only be offered here, marked very clearly so that there is no mistake and kept out of the main collection. I charge a lower price for Dutch tubers, as I don't believe in price gouging for unverified varieties. No $40 charge for a tuber that I am not sure what it is!

Please note that I offer varieties that I have ordered from around the world and sometimes those varieties get canceled. I do try to keep a few gems back to cover any cancelations but be aware that if you order from the Future Unicorns Collection, you might have something canceled or you can put down that you trust me to treat you right with a substitution. For those who know, if you leave the substitutions to me, I always do equal value or better 😀.

I make every effort to screen for gall but it is a risk you take by ordering Dutch tubers. There will be no refunds available for anything that is wrong or has gall. Plant them separate from the rest of your stock and make sure to sanitize, sanitize and sanitize! The upside is that Dutch tubers tends to have less viruses.

I will also note whether or not the wholesaler has a good track record for providing correct varieties, so you can gage whether or not you want to risk the variety yourself. One wholesaler is completely new to me but has some really nice varieties that I just NEED.

To promote transparency, clarity and ethical growing, we are introducing a new classification system for dahlias on the website. It wil take time to add it to our entire dahlia catalogue but we hope that it helps people to understand risk and to combat shops that that are selling unverified cuttings off Dutch tubers.

Each dahlia variety is tagged with a generation that indicates how long we have grown it. It is available in the drop down menu at the top of the 2027 dahlia page, under filters.

1st Generation - imported from Europe, have not grown it. Higher risk of gall.

2nd Generation - we have grown it for 1 year. Includes both imports and varieties from North America. Lower risk for gall.

3rd Generation - we have grown it for 2 years. Low risk for gall. 

4th Generation - we have grown it for 3 years plus. Very minimal risk of gall.

Please check our terms and conditions regarding refunds and shipping. We will no longer be combining orders. Ask me to add to your order and I will send you an invoice. Pay it from your email...easy peasy and it's only one payment.

If your order is oversized, we reserve the right to charge more for shipping. 

Shipping is mid April to mid May. I can not accommodate shipping outside of that window.
