The gorgeous pale, mauvy-blue flowers have a pretty satin sheen across their deeply textured surface. Its crimped and wavy margins taper to pointed tips. At dusk the flowers become almost luminous. Beautiful!

Pruning Group: C - This clematis blooms on new growth, so should be hard pruned in early spring to about 12 inches above a strong pair of buds.
Remember that clematis likes to have cool roots, so planting something in front of it to shade the roots is always a great idea.
