I have Julia in my garden and she is one of those set it and forget it varieties. I am usually busy dealing with all of the dahlia related shipping and cuttings, so have not been able to do much in my home garden but get to admire her once I get the dahlias planted. Her form is a little different from other clematis I have here but she is very vigorous! Her twisty wine red petals need to be seen in person!

Pruning Group: B - This clematis blooms on old wood, so prune very carefully to remove damaged or dead growth in the spring.
Remember that clematis likes to have cool roots, so planting something in front of it to shade the roots is always a great idea.
