Deep violet purple buds burst open to 2 to 3 inch nodding bell shaped flowers with curled ends in a violet blue with an icy lavender edge, looking like pixie bells all along the dark green foliage. This is one of the longest blooming clematis, starting its blooms in June and going through to September.

Pruning Group: C - This clematis blooms on new wood, so prune hard to a pair of strong buds in early spring.
