Dear Alexander was a bit of a gamble when I got him. His original pictures were not flattering to say the least. However, I researched him and found some nice pictures in Europe and gave him a try. He starts out very yellow, with a maroon center/streaks. When he finally opens up, he turns this delightful peach colour, with burgundy streaks and center. The first picture is what he turns into and the second one is how he starts out. You get two looks/varieties in one plant!
Perfect for garden displays and floral arrangements, Dear Alexander adds a touch of charm and warmth to any setting with its distinctive hues and form.
Grower's notes: DA blooms early and hard, pumping out the blooms. He also a very good seed parent, producing oodles of seeds.
