Multi-Blue packs a lot of flowers into a compact, easy-to-use vine. This clematis actually prefers partial shade, and is a strong repeat bloomer, offering bold double blooms of indigo-violet with tufts of palest green. The blooms morph through stages, here a double blossom, there a single, creating a rich effect.

Pruning Group: B - This clematis blooms on old wood, so prune very carefully to remove damaged or dead growth in the spring and do any major pruning after it has finished blooming.

Remember that clematis likes to have cool roots, so planting something in front of it to shade the roots is always a great idea.
